Default Is Harun Yahya a reliable person for Islamic Facts?
I have been to his website and it seems to me like he does not have proper knowledge of Islam in terms of the People of the Book and other topics. His scientific claims of the Quran are excellent, but is he a reliable person for Islam and to consult with for Islamic Topics? I heard that Bilal Phillips condemned Harun Yahya for some reason.

No, he has no formal education when it comes to matters of deen and is unreliable when it comes to many things, such as prophesies, fiqh, etc.

Bilal Philips is also unreliable so...

As far as I can tell, his videos to do with scientific facts are OK but Bilal Philips says Harun Yahya has his own hidden which you can read in the last chapter of his books...

Dr. Bilal Philips has www.sunniforum.com rated number 15 in his list of deviant sites and has www.sunnipath.com as number 3.

Maybe someone should send him an email and ask him why www.sunniforum.com is a deviant website.

Yep, that's the website, he has Salafi websites as his recommended websites and almost all Sunni and Sufi websites as deviant websites, www.sunnipath.com is a more deviated website than that Barelwi 'O Prophet' site according to him...

I cant believe how he considers this website more deviant than dawateilsami.net, alahazrat.net and all those other barelwi websites. Incredible!!! Sometimes I think some salafi alims just label others deviants without even knowing who they actually are. For example, all naqshbandi sufis are considered deviants cos of ppl like the haqqanis. Has anyone read Sheikh Albani's fatwa on Tableeghi Jama'at. Its as though he has no idea what it is at all. I think he says that in all this time not a single alim has come out of them. What!!!! The fact that it was started by some hanafis in india is probably what they judge it on.

Am I right in thinking that non-arab salafis are more extreme in calling others deviants than arabs (nowadays anyway)?

wassalam

Well, if you look at it Salafi trends, they usually speak worse of Deobandis than Brelwis and extreme Sufis.

For example, if you look at a lot of Salafi websites, their "refutations" sections will have many articles on Deobandis and (particularly) Tableeghis, but very few (if any) articles on Brelwis.

I think this has to do with the fact that Salafis (the disingenuous ones) are more threatened by Deobandis, due to the truth they speak, than the deviant Sufis, because most of their claims are ridiculous to the point that warning against them often isn't even needed.

Harun Yahya is a sunni muslim, he publishes about the importance of sunna of our beloved Prophet (saas), maybe this is the reason why there are such uncorrect claims, accussations are made about him. But of course we dont take some words that we hear, but we look at what he says, what he publishes, and that is strictly in line with the Quran and Sunnah.

Harun Yahya has lead the big atheist materialist philosophy of our age, Darwinism, collapse totally. Thus, the number of people who believe in God's increased to a great extent. All around the world, even in the known-materialist European countries, such as France and UK, many many more people believe in Allah today. MashaAllah this is great news. So we cannot just take just 'some words' and believe in them. But we look at what Harun Yahya does. Harun Yahya has lead me to stonger iman, just like many other people.

Thank you all for sharing..

Salam

I am not soo shock if Bilaal Philips included sunniforum and sunnipath among deviated sites. wa la obaali

TRY TO LOOK at all salafi sites, they used to call those who follow madhab, those who go in tableegh jamaat, and those who believe in KALAM as DEVIATED

They assume that they are the only followers of ALLAH and His Messenger.

whenever they heard someone addressing himself as HANAFI they said ITTAQOLLAH, ATIOLLAHA war RASUL!

It is haraam that Muslims are split, it is farz that all Muslims unite.
Allah u Alem, the tragedy in the Muslim world, all the sufferings Muslims are facing today all around the world, may be because Muslims are spilt. If all the Muslims unite, it would be tremendous power and strenght and no single person, or country, or community can oppress or kill or attack Musilms in such case.
it is farz that Muslims unite, this is very important.

"Hold fast to the rope of Allah all together, and do not separate. Remember Allah’s blessing to you when you were enemies and He joined your hearts together so that you became brothers by His blessing. You were on the very brink of a pit of the Fire and He rescued you from it. In this way Allah makes His Signs clear to you, so that hopefully you will be guided." (Sura al'Imran, 103)

jeez... you deobandis got it rough, the barlawis say your wahabis/salafis, and the salafis say your worse than barlawis.

Salaam Brothers & Sisters,
In fact this question is exactly what Harun Yahya tells. The unbelievers around the world have an union against religions, so they have a power. But Muslims do not have union and they waste their time by trying to solve the problem among themselves. I think asking the reliability of sincere Muslims is against supporting Islam. It only helps to divide the Muslims. And knowing that Harun Yahya’s scientific claims of Qur’an are excellent and his works increase many people’s belief and knowing that he wrote more than 300 books and devouted his last 30 years to Islam how can anybody ask such a question about his reliability? How can a person accuse any Muslim that supports Qur’an and Hadiths and who do not say a contrary thing against Qur’an and Hadiths. The first thing that Muslims have to do is not to accuse sincere Muslims but try to make an Islamic Union, a global Islamic Union. Otherwise by asking such questions you make the Satan happy.

Harun Yahya is claiming to be a mahdi. He alters the ahadith about Mahdi. Shayh Cubbeli Ahmet Hodja who is the close student of Shayh Mahmoud Efendi has written a book refuting harun yahya's claims. For instance, Harun Yahya says Mahdi will appear in Istanbul , but there is no ahadith saying so. You can visit Harun Yahya's web page, and read how he changes the ahadith about Mahdi.

The reason why salafis/wahabbis attack Deobandis is pure and simple. One has to go back into history to see why. The convention in Mecca in 1926 after the Ottoman empire collapsed was attended by all Ulema across the world. It was at that convention that Ulema-e-Haq of Deoband and in particular Maulana Muhammad Ali Jawhar (ra) addressed Ibn Aziz bin Saud ( the great traitor of Islam) and told him what he thought of his so called sovereignty. Through this defiance by Ulema-e-Haqq of Deoband, the other Ulema from across the world followed suit.

The wahabbis spout on about "bidah and shirk" yet they never mention their abandonment of the Khilafa and installing of secular monarchy, which is the biggest skirk! Irony of all ironies.

Since that day, arab salafis/wahabbis have had nothing good to say about Deoband for this reason, because they also know it's this same group of Ulema of Deoband who will influence the removal of their seat of power and discard it into the garbage bin of history.

Why should they care about barelwis who are happy to sit on their sofas back home and enjoy halwa.
