و عليكم السلام Life is full of pleasant and unpleasant things. Normally we have a little bit of happiness for a short duration and we have little bit of sorrow for a short duration. That is how life passes. I suppose no one needs advice in matters of happiness. You just enjoy it without getting completely consumed by it. Pain, sorrow and difficulties are a different matter altogether. Though normally these too come for a short duration but we have to do something in this situation also. Obviously you can not enjoy these things - no one can. So what has to be done in these cases? Well you just bear the pain, you bear the sorrow and you bear with the difficulty. This is called Sabr in the Noble Qur'an. In Du'a we say Alhamdulillahi 'ala kulli haal - O Lord all thanks are due to you in every condition. Meaning is clear that though it is painful and difficult for me to bear but I still thank you because behind this trial you have something good planned for me - of course the ultimate some thing for Sabr is Jannah. These small trials are Allah(SWT)'s easy to push and nudge us towards Jannah. University is the best place in the world to be. Usually we do not realize that when we are there. But is is alright if you do not want to be there. Beloved Prophet(PBUH) did not go to any university. Of course you should not close all the door open to you, that would be silly, otherwise take the route you want. If you do business then you shall be discharging one more Sunnah. But using the western phrase that you have is not the best way. By the infinite Grace of Lord Most High we are Muslims and we can not thank Allah (SWT) enough for that. And Muslims do not say such things. We say Islamic things - for our benefit as well as to inspire others. May Allah (SWT) make it easy for you either way. Wassalam |

LOL. Now that I've read up a little on the field I know how you feel. but I can understand it if anyone reads upon on quantum theory or astro-physics or ponders on the relationship between the difference between the reality of light and of our subjective experience of it and then feels a little dizzy or weird. |

I didnt study physics, but I played at it.
Put a helmet on and run full speed into other people with helmets and you go 'boom' and see stars. Then people slap you on the back and you forget where you are.... I weighed 200 lbs then and ran a 4.5/40. Do the squiggly thingys above the numbers... oh yeah, aromathetics and stuff..... If you really feel overwhelmed by your studies, you need to flex your muscles and run around a bit, feel alive again... Just don't put on a helmet and run into people... |
