Go for a grey colored one. But in my opinion, close or tight fitting sweaters don't look so good with a thawb. But so long as it's within the boundaries of Deen, to each their own style.

I agree; it looks kind of strange, especially with shorter ones that end at the waist, because the lower half of the thawb tends to balloon out when the cardigan is buttoned/zipped. If you could find a longer cloak or something like that, it would go better. But with a white thawb, a darker color, like green, brown, black, grey, etc. would look good. I wouldn't pair white with a light color.

The closest resemblance to a cloak is a Moroccan style jallabiyyah. It's got the hood and everything. Put that on over a thawb and you'd be looking like Obi Wan Kanobi.

Ask a Moroccan brother in your area for details.

They look similar to these (prices are sorta ridiculous, better to get them from overseas):

What one can do also is get a fleece or a loose (sports, hoody or dress) sweater that's at least one size bigger than you and then wear an Arab style ghutrah wrapped around your head or neck.

That way the thawb doesn't sort of appear to balloon out at the bottom because of the sweater's tightness.

lol yeah.

Bro mikail2,

My penny's worth of nasihah: If you're interested in getting a cloak style jallabiyyah, you need to see a Moroccan brother in a city near you.

You could just make yourself one. That's what I did. I bought some material and took it to an experienced tailor, along with a Moroccan Jalabiyyah that I have. I told them it to use the Jalabiyyah as a sample for my the cloak, however to keep the front open, as if it were like a 'long coat'. so the cloak mirrored the Moroccan Jalabiyyah, except that it was open at the front, from the top all the way down. And voila! You have yourself one Moroccan Cloak, Alhamdulillah.

Why dont you wear something like this:

http://www.paulfredrick.com/catalog/...613L&sc=NEXTS2

You'll look like a "bloak" from London England. You can give dars and also teach physics at the same time wearing that sooter.
