Usually, whoever it is on the other end is quiet, doesn't say anything. The number that has been calling and just staying quiet is different from the more recent one with the message about government spying. I've tried calling back once and it went straight to a recorded voice message about Macedonia(?) or someplace like that.
I really doubt these calls are from any government agency... I really think it is someone getting phone numbers and making these nuisance calls. It became too much when, just after we had the conversation here, someone called, was initially quiet and then proceeded to play a pre-recorded message going on about the government and spying. I didn't record the call but I did call back a few times only to get a busy tone each time. I started getting these calls shortly after I joined SF and I am not saying they're related but... well, I wanted to know if others were getting them too. I don't have a transcript of the call but a portion of it is: "... What if the government was reading your e-mails? What if the government was listening to your phone calls?..." I did not stay on the line for the entire 'message.' If no one else here is getting these calls then I'll write it off as just a very, very odd coincidence. I'm going to look into the cell phone tracker, perhaps that's how they got our home number? And, I will try to record when it happens again. ![]() ![]() |

Salaaams all of you..
In our country (Sri Lanka) Every out-going and in-comings calls will be recorded in voice format in mobile operators servers (Mobile/ Land lines records in machines) and that voice records can be listen by only defense ministry officials. Reason is, caught the criminal people. If any circumstance a person need to get the voice recording of a person they need to obtain a courts order. and any official of mobile/ telecommunication authorities have no right to listen for it. in any case if they doi so security system logs will create a log and alert the high level official. But i dont knw about other countries telecommunication operators.. Wassalaam! |
