I found this QA session particularly interesting and amusing

May Allah increase the Shaykh (Qadi Fadlullah) in knowledge.

Awww. That is amazing. May Allah bless that man and His family. More Westerners need to see this and talk to that man, InshAllah. He is so awesome, MashAllah.

I believe he studied in Akora Khattak (Darul Uloom Haqqania).

he's an Imam in California. i think he's a regular salafi bane. if you watch some of his videos you'll realize that he does live up tot he title "qadi", he's very knowledgeable though as you may have noticed English isn't his strongest suite. regardless his talks are enlightening and amusing.

he's been invited to the jalsa's (dastarbandis) at the darul uloom I used to attend in hope B.C. Canada, a s guest of honor, on several occasions. and he's a personal friend of my teacher maulana Tayyab Qasmi....

what more can I say...not much as i don't know him very well, but one my Afghan friends studies with him in the summer.

i do remember one comment he mad ein a speech about two months after 9/11:

"so someone asked me, are you Osama Bin Ladin? I said no, I am his father!"

i think he's a regular salafi bane.
What does it mean, that he refutes salafis or that he's one?
I read a few answers on his websites and he seems a "regular" Hanafi as well as quoting the other three schools here and there..
