Default Will we all go to Heavan?
Please don't delete this topic Im not stirring up any controversies for different sects just asking an honest and sincere question.

With all the different sects in Islam, and all scholars debating each other how will we know who will go to Heavan? Each sect says they are on Haq, on the straight path to Islam but other sects find ways to contradict them.

Surely Allah knows best but I am scared, I fear Allah. I believe in everything Allah has commanded us to and I know that all muslim brothers do the same (apart from the deviant Sh'ite and the Ahmadis) so will we all go to Heaven?? Can we just get rid of the sects and consider ourselves only Muslim and follow true Sunnah and the Quran?

I fear Allah greatly, I do not know which sect will go to Heavan, who will Allah and his Messenger favour on the Day of Judgement. Verily, Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the intercessor for Heavan, and Allah will make the final decision.

As a Mulsim I truly fear Allah, even more than Kafrs who dont even have a clue. Obviously, identifying yourself as a Muslim and with a partcicular sect won't get you to Heavan alone, you have to live, breathe, and follow Islam entirely.

I am just very scared for my fate, loved ones, and the entire Muslim Ummah.

There are hadith which clearly mentions that some sinful Muslims will go to Hell initially and Allah Ta'ala will take them out of Hell and put them in Paradise where they will live for eternity. As for who will be forgiven, who will be punished, Allah Alone knows.

Its worthless pondering about such things brother. Let do something to please Allah Ta'ala. May Allah Ta'ala shower his Mercy on all of us. Ameen.

Shaykh al-Islam Ahmad al-Sirhindi (d. 1034/1624; Rahimahullah) who is regarded by many people in the Indian sub-continent as a great renovator of the Tenth Islamic Century (Mujaddid alf Thani) wrote in his Maktubat (Vol. 3, Letter 38):

"It was declared in a Hadith that this Ummah would part into 73 groups, 72 of which would go to Hell. This Hadith informs us that the 72 groups will be tormented in the Fire of Hell. It does not inform us that they will remain in torment eternally. Remaining in the torment of Hell Fire eternally is for those who do not have Iman. That is, it is for disbelievers. The 72 groups, on account of their corrupt beliefs, will go to Hell and will burn as much as the corruptness of their beliefs. One group, the 73rd, will be saved from Hell Fire because their belief is not corrupt. If among the members of this one group there are those who committed evil deeds and if these evil deeds of theirs have not been forgiven through repentance or intercession, it is possible that these, too, will burn in Hell as much as their sins. All of those who are in the 72 groups will go to Hell. But none of them will remain in Hell eternally. Not all of those who are in this one group will go to Hell. Of these only those who have committed evil deeds will go to Hell. The 72 reported groups of bid'ah, which will go to Hell, should not be called disbelievers, because they are Ahl al-Qibla (people of the Qibla in prayer). But, of these, the ones who disbelieve those facts in the Deen that are indispensably required to be believed, as well as those who deny the rules of the Shari'ah which every Muslim has heard and knows, become disbelievers."

In another letter (vol. 1, letter 80) he said:

"There is no doubt whatsoever that the sect that made conforming to the conduct of the Prophet's Companions (may Allah be pleased with them all) necessary, that alone is the Ahl as Sunnah wa'l Jama'ah."

brother the explosion of sects we have seen within the last 150 years has been due to the disconnection from the quran. if u got 10,000 people and asked to raise their hands if the have STUDIED, not READ but "SUTDIED" the quran probably just 1 or 2 people would raise ther hands. what does studying the quran mean, it does not mean just reading it but means studying the sciences, tafsirs, root meanings to get a correct understanding of the meanings of the quran which nearly all muslims in the world have not done, which has resulted in ruin of our aqeeda and hence explosions of sects and hence death on kuffar.

brother, there is much confusion in the umma regarding knowing what a sect is. according to the knowledge allah has given
a sect is defined by their aqiad not by name of the group. for example brelwis aqaid has shirk in them thats why they are a sect, where as deobandis are group and not a sect as ther aqiad are line with quran and sunna.

in every country of the world ther a smalls groups of people who are on the right path, their beliefs are correct but their have different names. they are all infact the one group that prophet pbuh said are on the right path and will die with iman and go to heaven.

it doesnt matter which group in the world u follow as long as their aqaid are correct. if ur aqiad are incorrect u will die as a kaffir, because ur iman in ur heart finishes. in order to be connected with allah and the prophet pbuh and die with iman ur aqaid have to be correct. if they are wrong like brelwis, it doesnt matter how much darood shreif u read, hajj's u gone, how big ur beard is u will not die with iman.

to correct ur aqiad u need to do indepth study of the quran. learn from great mufassirs like hazrat imam ghazali r.a, hazrat imam suyuti r.a who were from the past when there wasnt an issue of sects.

like i said the reasons for the explosions of sects has been due to aqiad going wrong, and the aqid going wrong has been due to the disconnection from the quran.

I was going through an audio lecture once and the Sheikh in it mentioned the study/writings of someone (I don't remember the name) who was born many centuries earlier (at a time when there were no ghair muqallid). He was of the opinion that the Prophet mentioned earlier nations had been divided into 72 sects of which only and would go to jannat and his Ummah will be divided into 73 sects. Here, the person said this actually means that there will be just an addon of 1 sect in this Ummah that will be added to the deviant ones of the earlier nations.
He mentioned that this 1 sect that will be going to hell will be those who oppose the Fuqahaa.

Sorry if I am not clear, I don't remember the lecture very much.

Can we just get rid of the sects and consider ourselves only Muslim and follow true Sunnah and the Quran? You don't have to worry that much on this sect issue. Just be firm on your faith.

The Beloved Prophet said: Follow the way of the largest group of Muslims! For, he who deviates from this group will be thrown into Hell! [Sunnan Ibn Majah, Hadith # 3950]

Brother

perform the Arkan, remember the essential beliefs, avoid controversies, avoid sins as much as you can and thereafter concentrate on improving yourself.

it is good to worry a little, but if you worry to extremes it is a form of disrespect to Allah because it is like you are thinking bad about him.

forget about this thing you are worrying about and just trust in Allah.

no one goes to Paradise except through Allah's Mercy.

trust in Allah He is ar-Rahman and ar-Raheem.

The saved sect is Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaat, the sawad e azam, the main group that has no sectarian names and is following the Book and the Sunnah and InshaAllah this group includes the vast majority of the Muslims be they Maliki, Hanafi, Shafii, Hanbali, be they Ashari, Maturidi or true Athari, InshaAllah be they following the scholars of the Ottoman tradition, those of Syria, the Azharis, the Mauritanian scholars, the Maliki scholars of Morocco and North Africa, The Malikis of West Africa, The tradition of the Shafiis of East Africa, South Arabia and South East Asia, the scholars of Deoband and affiliates Darul Ulooms, the Nadwi scholars etc.. etc .. etc .. and we can hope that the one saved sect is a big broad one and that Allah has great Mercy on the Ummah through this..

..and we can hope and pray that the non-Sunnis who we know will die with the correct beliefs in their hearts (as a Mercy from Allah) not the wrong ones of theirs sects...

but really brother at the end of the day you just have to let go and stop worrying about the world as a whole

focus upon yourself and those you can actually help, otherwise you will be 'biting off more than you can chew'

accept that Allah's judgement is better than yours and trust in Him, He knows what He is doing

all these worries will fade away then InshaAllah and you will be able to relax knowing that you are safe with Him

Thanks brothers for clarifying everything.

Allah has the greatest knowledge and only he knows best.

Truly great what Allah has created, the human mind. It is so specialized and makes us think so much.
