I agree the article shows that. It also serves as a good reminder for us (especially our youth) to stay away from extreme ideas - not just in 'real' life but also through 'virtual' meeting areas like SF. An innocent youth can easily be made out to be someone s/he is not. His/her words can be twisted and manipulated to resemble whatever certain people in 'power' want them to resemble.

Another threat here is that these types of FBI (or Mosad or whatever) led exercises are aimed at pushing a wedge even further between people - forcing an 'othering' of Muslims by non-Muslim Americans - and - an 'othering' of non-Muslim Americans by Muslims. We need to be careful about this possibility too and not let these people succeed at such a goal. Afterall, we do want to do dawah... we do want to see people as brothers and sisters, converted or reverted - strengthened.

May Allah (SWT) protect us from evil people (and jinn) and shaytan. May He (SWT) strengthen our ummah through compassion, and mercy. Ameen.

Speaking of FBI, I wouldn't be surprised if a few agents were busy monitoring this forum...

Barak Allah ta'aala.

No doubt indeed.

That's why ihsaan is ever important.

I'm reminded of surah 16, verses 127-128.
