Dear Brothers and Sisters
I would like to share a true experience with you all. In April 2010, I was thrilled to discover I would be going on a dream journey, to perform Umra. My calling to Allah's Sacred house had finally arrived. And without a thought i accepted The invitation (Alhumdulliah). When I arrived I performed my Umra, and thanked Allah for helping me complete this and only hoped that Allah had accepted my Umra . However I was left feeling unsatisfied about something. I had made every attempt to touch the Hajar Aswad (Blackstone) but was pushed aside by swarms of people, some even going as far as causingphysical injury. However, having made several attempts in about two days, I became disheartened. Then the next morning I made a dua to Allah to help me. I had informed my mother that, today I would make every effort to touch the Hajar Aswad. My Mother feared the worse and tried to talk me out of it, because she feared I may be injured or even lose my life as some do, but I thought i would rather die here then anywhere else. I proceeded towards the Kaaba, again there were countless people, I had to battle past, Alhumdulliah I Hurt no one intentionally or unintentionally. My mother in a final attempt grabbed my arm, to prevent me, but I watched, her grip loosed, as she was swept back into the crowd. I started to feel nervous as i got closer and closer, I felt being crushed and almost suffocated, I called out Allah Hu Akbar, and then suddenly a voice called back Hajjah, Hajjah, as I looked up I saw a man over 8 feet tall summoning me, clearing my path and directing me first to the golden door of the kaaba and then asking me to touch it, then pointing me along to touch the Hajar Aswad. I followed what he said. I looked over my shoulder to say thank you but he had disappeared. I proceeded to the Hajar Aswad and became sandwiched betweed the wall in front of me and the people behind me and began to suffocate again. I wondered at this point if death was upon me and could only think of calling out Allah Hu Akbar again. The security man appeared in front of me as i neared the Hajar Aswad, he smiled and summoned me to come up and Kiss it, as he pulled someone back from it and I did. I was exhilarated and flabbergasted at what had just happened. As I stood over the swarms of people below I started to wonder, how was going to get down and get back out of the crowd. I was only thinking of this when suddenly, I found myself floating back down and ended up two thirds between the end of the crowd and my poor Mother and her tears. I share this true experience with you because I feel Allah helped me in This Journey every time I called out to him. He is most gracious and most merciful. |
