Salam,
I was on Shia chat, just seeing how Shias chat to each other etc. And they were talking about Mutah and how it is hard to control yourself so mutah is a good way to stop us from committing fornication. I am not here to criticise or separate. but obviously we all know Mutah was deemed forbidden soon after. On the chat a guy implied that Umar (ra) stopped the practice of Mutah and then went on to insult Umar (ra), with the harshest insult I have ever heard from anyone about anyone. I just want to ask is this really what Shia are like all the time? I mean this is terrible... I will post what he said... but please bear in mind, it may cause offence, like it did to me. May Allah bless Umar and curse the ones who insult the companions of the Prophet like this. [clip] Salam. |

Ignore Shi'a like that. It's funny that he's so concerned about Zina but what is mut'ah but Zina? You ask a woman to have physical relationships with her for a time - if that isn't Zina, then what is? There are no binding contracts, no mahr, no witnesses, no legality involved. He's basically saying that the "salvation of our youth from falling into Zina" is...to...fall into Zina? |

Salaams
At least the Zaydis and Sufi Shiahs are mostly free from this type of evil. The Shiah who said that obscene thing, maybe he was a young teenager and didn't know better? but If he says things like these they will come back on him one day InshaAllah These statements are obscene, but they have come from nothing other than the madness of the fanatical Twelvers How can any Sunnis support these people getting nuclear arms when they hate real Islam and real Muslims like this? |

Salam, Allah and his Rasul banned Mutah, Umar merely enforced this ban, if I recall correctly (and what I read was correct ) people attempting to do Mutah became a problem during Umar's Khilafa. I just want to ask is this really what Shia are like all the time? I mean this is terrible... Salaams How can a Shia be a Sufi? Sufi Shia is an oxymoron. |

Yes there are a lot of Twelver Shiahs who are Sufis and I'm not talking about lone Irfan or Ishraqi practitioners, I'm talking about actual Shiah Sufi tareeqas
It doesn't mean they have any connection to Sunni Sufis though When they aren't persecuting Sunnis the Iranian government is often busy persecuting Shiah Sufis and their mureeds |
