A Beautiful Muslim Death:

My grandfather may Allah have mercy on him, never missed a prayer and always prayed in the masjid. The closest masjid to his house was a 5 minute drive away, so i would say maybe 10-15 minutes walk. He never used the car to go to masjid for fajer prayer, as he was afraid the noise might wake the neighbors, so he always walked to fajer prayers. According to my grandmother he would make 10 Quran khatmas every Ramadhan. He went into a peaceful coma in his favourite place (his farm) and he passed away a week later in bed peacefully. May Allah Mercy on him and all muslims.
Truly that is one of the most beautiful and saddest stories I have heard.
May Allah bless your grandfather with Jannatul Firdous.

My teacher told us of an Egyptian bride who refused to leave for her wedding because Maghreb had arrived and she had to pray. Much to her family’s dislike, she washed off all her pretty makeup, made wudu and entered an empty room to make salah. After some time, everybody began to wonder what was taking her so long. When they entered upon her, they found her in sujood and lifeless. Subhan Allah ta’aala. May Allah SWT grant her jannatal firdows and all of us too. Amin.
I actually read that same story on this forum a while ago.

Some good stories here.

And here:

Actually this reminds me, I was looking for a biography of one of the people mentioned here, Sai'd Ahmad Khan (db). Anyone have one?

In the video, it's mentioned that he died in sujud, in masjid nabawi at tahajjud time on the 27th night of Ramadhan, and was later buried in al Baqi.

brother

Please check the post again, as I've edited it with another link. This is from a series of lectures by Shaykh Hasan Ali which can be found on YouTube on the Hikmah channel. The lectures are about death, what happens in the grave, day of judgement and beyond. Basically the journey of the soul from death onward.

The two links I posted link exactly to the time where he mentions the stories, so you don't have to watch the whole thing.

My Grandfather, May Allah have Mercy upon him, died during Hajj (though i didn't get a chance to meet him he passed away before i was born), my young brother had a dream that me and him went to search for my Grandfather in Makkah al-Mukarramah.

My Father, May Allah have mercy upon him died on Friday, he was the Mu'addhin of my local Masjid. My father went Bangladesh (the year he passed away) and fell seriously ill, he couldn't eat and drink - he was in hospital bed ridden, although it wasn't too serious or life threatening at that stage Allah still took him (May He have mercy upon him). The moment he passed away, in my dream (UK time 5 am hence i was asleep) my father came to me outside our house so i received him outside on the path and asked him what was wrong - he replied he has to go now, so i hugged him and he went and i thus woke up, i started crying hysterically and my mother came to my room in a rush and asked what was wrong i replied ring Bangladesh dad's gone, and it was the case my father indeed passed away, Innaa Lillaahi Wa Innaa Ilayhi Raji'oon.

My father never relied on anyone nor did he bother anyone in his life, he was very very simple and humble. May Allah grant him Jannathul Firdaws, Ameen.

Sometimes i think simple life is the best life.

Wallahu A'lam.

My uncle (mother's brother) went on a jamaat for 4 months. On the last day of the jammat, he made wudu for his fajr salat and passed away as soon as he finished making wudu. It's been many years but I still remember his face after he died. He had a smile on his face and looked so content. May Allah swt grant him jannah and may Allah swt make us among the ones who die on imaan, ameen.

any link to the video ?

Here's the video. It's in arabic.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rfskf...eature=related

This woman's body was only able to be moved after the shaykh recited Quran. Her faced was also transformed. Her son who looked at her one last time before entering her in the grave was unable to describe the hideousness of her face to the Shaykh, all he could say was that it was black like coal. The son then ran away from the funeral and returned 6 months later to the shaykh giving the account in this video. He tells him how he made hajj for her and built a mosque for her and other good deeds just to forget the horrible face he saw but to no avail so now, he had come to confess: his mother never prayed. The shaykh reprimanded him for hiding that because its forbidden to pray over a such people.

May Allah SWT save us. Amin Ya Rabb.
