Default Maximizing sunnahs
Salamualaikom,

I heard from an Alim that RasulAllah (sallahu alaihi wa salam) would sometimes dry himself after showering and would sometimes not. So I'm sure making an intention before we dry ourselves or not is rewardable.

But what about making an intention for doing everyday things like walking. Can I say I intend to walk because its a sunnah? Or I intend to eat because RasulAllah (sallahu alaihi wa salam) ate? etc...

If you walk to masjid for the sake of ALLAH and following the hadith on walking to masjid... then you get reward.
However, if you walk without any purpose and wasting time... that is not sunnah .

If you eat, and the food is halal, and good food... to obey the command of ALLAH in the Qur'an "Kuluu wasyrabuu wa laa tusrifuu..." (eat and drink and do not make israaf)... then you get great reward.
However, if you eat that is haram and harmful, and/or make israaf... that is not sunnah

wallaahu a'lam.
