BISMILLAH The best analogy that I can give you, is how do you explain color to a blind person??? You can't, it is something they have to experience to appreciate... So when the sufis speak of secret knowledge it is only secret in the sense, that only those who experience will understand it, if you are unable to experience it, then it will remain a secret until you are able to experience it... And Allah knows best. |

Do anyone know of any Scholars that goes into more indepth knowledge about the unseen...right now I am feeling very dissatified with information i sometimes get,and this can lead a person to look for answers and insight elsewhere.
It seems many are satisfied with what seems to me sometimes insignificant matters..that's not enough for me. I mean no offense but that's how I feel. JazakAllah kyran. |

Assalam alaikum
I agree with brother Untold truth that the experiences of tasswuf cannot be explained through literal explanations which is why there is a need for a shaikh the reason there is a need for secrecy is because experiences of tasswuf cannot be explained through a checklist manner there is a need for personal guidance and indepth knowledge which cannot be attained through books. From my personal experience the most in depth literature on tassawuf I have studied are the Maktubat of the Imam-e-Rabbani Hazrat Mujaddid Alif Sani rehmatullah alahay but I could not understand 90% of it until I gave bayat to my sheikh. I hope I have been of some use to you, please forgive for any error Your brother in Islam |

I wish I knew exactly what you are looking for... The books of sufism require knowing the terminology to understand in order to benefit from some of its spiritual knowledge. Ibn Ajiba talks about 'The Oneness of Existence' And I have run across this kind of language before in sufi books...if possible could you tell me exactly what this means.I am somewhat confused by it,because the Qur'an says about Allah, there is none like unto Him but some sufis [not all] seem to be suggesting something else.Maybe due to my lack of knowledge in these areas I am misunderstanding something,or have some sufis went astray. |

JazakAllah kyran brother. Or one could say, in reality the only thing that exist, is Allah, His Attributes, His Actions and His Rulings... Alot of people misunderstand this and think the sufis are saying Allah is everything or that Allah indwells in creation... None of this is true and contradicts the creed of the Muslims... Eventhough you may here Sufis and Muslims saying Allah is everywhere... It is not to be take literally but with the understanding that behind everything, Allah is the Doer. And Allah knows best. |

I was flipping through some of my books...
I was trying to find some books that might interest you. Realities of Sufism by Shaykh Abd al Qadir Isa The Removal of Cares by Abdul Qadir Jilani The Basic Research by Ibn Ajiba The Darqawi Way by Darqawi Music of the Soul by Shaykh Muhammad Al Jamal Of the books that I think you will benefit the most from is probably the last two... But they all of stuff of the unseen.... And the last two books seem kind of random, in that it jumps around alot. I hope that helps... |
