I do remember reading a while back that there may be a prophecy of Nabi (peace be upon him) that the final days will come when arabia becomes green and fertile again.
Could someone please clarify if that is a hadith or not. JazaakAllah

Remember anything is possible for Allah. He wants he can make it snow on the sun lol.

But as for genuinity, It can snow in the desert, for example the Gobi desert http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gobi_Desert

It is genuine. I asked a Saudi brother and he said yes it snows in Northen Saudi Arabia (i.e Tabouk etc).
