The sciences of hadith is very very complicated. Daeef(weak) Hadith is NOT EQUAL to False or fabricated. Contrary to the common layman belief, The analysis of the 'chain of transmitters' ie the sanad is NOT the only criteria to accept or reject hadith. I shall quote from Reliance of the Traveller: WEAK HADITHS w48.1 Weak (da'if) is a term for any hadith with a chain of transmission containing a narrator whose memory was poor, one who was not trustworthy, not identified by name, or for other reasons. But weak cannot simply be equated with false. Were this the case, mere analysis of the transmitters would be the universal criterion for acceptance or rejection of particular rulings based on hadiths. While scholars do use this measure in upgrading the work of preceding generations of legal authorities, they have not employed it as a simplistic expedient to eliminate every piece of legal information that is connected with a weak hadith, because of various considerations. -Reliance of the Traveller |

There is nothing such as authentic dhaeef and fabricated dhaeef. Daeef is Daeef, weak. The degree of weakness may vary. A dhaeef hadith can be used even in ahkam(rulings) sometimes. Sister, hadith sciences are very complicated. Its better to watch the video posted in the first page. It will give us a small idea. but what @a.sharf mentioned did make sense though... he categorized them and showed the clue how to figure out... do u disagree with him. |
