Default Karaamah possible with Prophets or only Mu'jizah?

Did the Prophets do Karaamah or only Mu'jizah? Also, what are some evidences from sound sources of the pious people doing Karaamah? (Any good books, articles, etc.)

Mu'jizah are the miracles of the Prophets.

Karaamah are the miracles of the awliya. There are many authentic reports of Karaamah of the Sahaba itself.

Edit: as mentioned below, all these are from the power and permission of Allah Ta'ala. ofcourse.

Salaamu alaiykum
Although I have virtually zero knowledge about such matters, I would just like to point out (in case it may be misunderstood) that Allah is the one who does these things for his slaves whereas the slaves have no power of their own to do this (so saying statements like them "doing karama" or "doing miracles" etc. may be misunderstood), and Allah knows best. I was of the idea (not that it holds any value or is true in anyway) that Mu'jizah is greater than karamah as the prophets are greater than the pious people (hence have greater help and greater responsibilities). I've heard stories about karamah but I haven't really verified them. One of them is that sahabah (ra) entered dangerous water or something like that and they managed to cross it, making the enemies think they were jinns or something of the kind (verify for yourself).

I 'think' that was at the battle in which the sahabah crossed River euphrates(or tigiris) to defeat the Persians.

Jazakallahu khaiyrun akhi. I was hoping someone would help me out through the will of Allah. Can you please cite it for me?

Hadhrat Alaa bin Hadhrami leads the Muslim Army into the Ocean

Hadhrat Sahm bin Minjaab reports, "We were on a military expedition with Alaa bin Hadhrami when we approached the island of Daarayn. The ocean however posed an obstacle for us to land on the island. Alaa then prayed to Allaah saying, 'Ya Aleem! Ya Haleem! Ya Aliyy! Ya Adheem! Verily Your servants are in Your path fighting Your enemies. Ya Allaah! Create for us a way to reach them.'

He then led us into the water and as deep as we went, the water did not even reach our saddle-cloths. In this manner, we reached the enemy."

Another narration from Hadhrat Abu Hurayrah adds that when Ibn Muka'bir the Persian Emperor's governor saw the Muslims (travelling through the water), he said, "No! By Allaah! We can never fight such people!" He then boarded his ship and returned to Persia. Similar narrations have also been reported from Hadhrat Sahm bin Minjaab, Hadhrat Abu Hurayrah and Hadhrat Anas , as will soon appear in the Chapter detailing the control that Allaah gave Muslims over the oceans. There the narration will also appear showing how Hadhrat Sa'd bin Abi Waqqaas crossed the Tigris River during the Battle of Qaadisiyyah. The narration cites the announcement Hadhrath Hujr bin Adi made when he said, "What prevents you from crossing over these few droplets viz. the Tigris." He then recited the following verse of the Qur'aan;

A person shall die only by the command of Allaah; (at a time that is) recorded (in the Lowhuf Mahfoodh), fixed (and therefore can neither be postponed nor delayed). (Surah Aal Imraan:145)

He then plunged his horse into the river and the other Muslims followed. When the enemy saw them, they took to their heels shouting, "Demons! Demons!"

JazakAllahu khairan. So karaamah doesn't happen to prophets, correct?
