Brothers, Can we read any surah in Salah? or it has to be in Order?
brother,

This is not a scholarly ruling so take it with a grain of salt, but I have always understood that it is highly preferable to recite surahs in order throughout different rakats in salah. This only applies to each particular set of rakats. For example, when praying Zuhr, let's say you are praying 4 Sunnah before 4 Fard, you would recite in order in these 4 rakats of sunnah which you are praying. Then when it comes to the Fard salat afterwards, you don't need to follow the order from the previous 4 Sunnahs, but rather the 2 surahs you read in the first 2 rakat after Surah Fatiha should be in order to each other (of course if praying in jamat it doesn't matter, your recitation will be done by the Imam, whichever Surahs he recites, unless you are the Imam). Then, let's say you pray another 2 sunnahs after the 4 fard, now a new order begins, and the order from the last 4 rakats of fard is not relevant anymore. Then let's say you pray 2 nafl, another new order begins, and the order from the last 2 rakats is not relevant anymore. So on and so forth. Basically, you don't need to follow order from beginning to end of all sunnahs, fard, nafl, etc, rather only in each *set* of rakats which are being prayed at once. I know that sounds kind of confusing but I hope it makes sense!

And Can we the Same Surah in Salah? I'm not sure what you mean exactly, if you mean that if you can recite the same Surah after Al-Fatiha in each rakat... For example, if you only know 1 Surah besides Surah Fatiha by heart, then the answer, Insha'Allah, is "yes". However, it is highly virtuous to recite a different surah after Al-Fatiha in each rakat where another surah will be recited, and one should at least memorize the last 10 Surahs of the Qur'an to recite in their salat. At the bare minimum, every Muslim should know 2 Surahs by heart besides Al-Fatiha. Surah Ikhlaas is commonly memorized by just about everyone Masha'Allah, and Surah Al-Kauthar is the shortest Surah in the Quran (only 3 Ayats), and can easily be memorized Insha'Allah, so we shouldn't have an excuse not to know at a bare minimum 2 Surahs besides Al-Fatiha.

The last 10 Surahs are Alhamdulillah very short and easy to memorize, and even if someone memorizes one a week (though 1 a day is easily possible with a small amount of dedication), in 10 weeks Insha'Allah they would know all those 10 surahs and have so much more to recite from than they did 10 weeks ago! Subhan'Allah.

Insha'Allah the knowledgeable will correct me if I said anything wrong.

Allah knows best.

Yes... maybe I'm not understanding something you're saying. If you are reciting the same surah after Al-Fatiha in each rakat of your salaat, then what "order" do you have to worry about?

In Hanafi Mazhab we recite Surah in order
For exmaple in 4 Fard
Surah AL Qadr
Surah Al Ikhlaas
Surah Falak
Surah Nas

Thats in order?

And when i say same surah i mean,

Can we read Surah Nas 4 times in 4 fard? (Same surah)

I read it in Aap ke Masail aur un ka hal that if u happen to recite Surah Naas in first rakah than u have to recite it in all 4 rakahs and Allah ta'ala knows best.

Yes, Insha'Allah that is correct.

And when i say same surah i mean,

Can we read Surah Nas 4 times in 4 fard? (Same surah) Yes, you can read Surah Nas, or any same surah, 4 times in 4 rakats (or 2 times in 2 rakats, etc, though it would be 4 sunnahs, not fardh, since only Surah Fatiha is recited in last 2 rakat of any 4 fardh).

Also, please read what I quoted below from my original post above, regarding reciting the same surah in all rakats:

However, it is highly virtuous to recite a different surah after Al-Fatiha in each rakat where another surah will be recited, and one should at least memorize the last 10 Surahs of the Qur'an to recite in their salat. Brother you should start a new thread regarding this situation, as this is a completely different issue than the thread in which you are posting, and you will probably not get much helpful replies here.

Just click on the "General Islam" forum and click "Post New Thread" towards the top left and Insha'Allah ask about this situation there.

May Allah make it easy for you and help you reach the correct decision according to His deen. Ameen.

So we can read a same surah but the surahs have to be in order?
surahs should be different and in decending order, such as if you say Qulhuwallahu ahad first, next rakaah will be Qulawuzubirabilfalaq, but if you dont say it decending order, salaah will still be in order

if you say same surah in every rakaah, salaah will still be ok too

there is a difference of opinion in hanafi madhab on this; some say decending order is wajib, but others say it is not wajib but only reccomended...; both these opinions are deobandi

thus according to the latter opinion, one dont literally have to say the surahs in order for salaah to be valid

this however only applies to fardh salaah's...; in sunnah or nafl salaah, surahs can be said in any order at all

Fardh is compulsory. A person who denies or rejects a Fardh will become a Kaafir.

wajib is also something necessary, although of a slightly lesser degree than Fardh. The person who denies this will not become a Kaafir, but will be a Faasiq (flagrant sinner).

Sunnat-e-Muakkadah are those actions of Nabi Sall-Allahu alayhi wa sallam which were done regularly. A person who leaves out such an act will be sinning.

And Allah Ta'ala Knows Best

What does Wajib mean?
As Shakkibat said, and i'll add that in terms of them pertaining to salaah, missing a fardh out invalidates the salaah [wether read individually or in jamaat] and missing a wajib neccessitates for two extra compensatory sajdahs done after the last atahiyat; if a person fails to do those two extra sajdahs and finishes the salaah, then salaah becomes disrputed to the extent where it should be performed again, allthough the obligations of salaah would be considered as offered

so basically something being 'wajib' means it has to be done, but since there is a valid opinion that the order of surahs dont have to be followed [i.e, it is reccomended but not wajib] then you can adopt this opinion thus your salaah will still be ok if the reccomended order is not strictly adhered to
