As Salaamu Alaikum I wanted get people's opinions about what exactly is necessary for an Imam of a community in America to know from the traditional sciences and what are some good topics outside of the traditional sciences that would be beneficial for an Imam to be aware of and have some knowledge of?

I think the community should provide tuition reimbursement for the Imams to take class in nearby community colleges to improve their oratory and writing skills.

I also believe that oratory and writing skills are very important for the position, another thing to look into also may be pastoral counseling
