Is there any historical evidence (outside Quran and hadeeths) that Abraham came to Makkah and built the Kaaba?

Some Muslims would point to several passages in the Bible (Old Testament) about Mekkah (Bakkah).

I'm not sure if there's any other documented evidence outside of the holy Books. Plus not sure if any evidence is still available after so many thousand of years.

Until recently, there was lots of historical sites, until the saudis smashed them all up.

the following are evidences:

1. maqaame ibrahim
2. historical documents from historians like ibn ishaq and ibn hisham
3. pre-islamic texts that refer to Ibrahim (as).
4. the fact that Makkah is in between the trade routes from Yemen / Shaam, which is where Ibrahim (as) lived, makes it plausible that he would have visited Makkah.

salaam garrett; i just had a discussion with a denier fanatic about this on another forum; here was my answer:

the bible mentions people performing pilgrimage as they pass through the valley of bakkah and to say that this is not the valley of bakkah of the Quran where pilgrimage is performed is really to career out of the common sense interpretation here, history knows of no other valley of bakkah which is associated with pilgrimage other than the one in Arabia
