Default Is this the method of implementation of Shariah?

The group Boko Haram have been continuing their deadly attacks targetting churches, christians and armed forces of Nigeria. I don't understand, which ideology are they following? I don't like it at all.

Not sure who did it in the first place. There was an article in NY Times before documenting about this;

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/01/02/op...pagewanted=all

Quoting from it;
Meanwhile, Boko Haram has evolved into a franchise that includes criminal groups claiming its identity. Revealingly, Nigeria’s State Security Services issued a statement on Nov. 30, identifying members of four “criminal syndicates” that send threatening text messages in the name of Boko Haram. Southern Nigerians — not northern Muslims — ran three of these four syndicates, including the one that led the American Embassy and other foreign missions to issue warnings that emptied Abuja’s high-end hotels. And last week, the security services arrested a Christian southerner wearing northern Muslim garb as he set fire to a church in the Niger Delta. In Nigeria, religious terrorism is not always what it seems. Perhaps if we can have some inputs on the matter from our Nigerian brothers ?

Then all the reports of attacks have been attributed to them by the media? And which ideology do they follow? Wahhabi?

Shaykh Usama, I'm not going against their intention. The fact which is bothering me is their strategy. How is the idea to start bombing in the churches? Is it not creating a plently of hostility among Kuffar? If christians start killing innocent Muslims as revenge, who will stop them?

I appreciate the strategy of Taliban because they are continuing the purest and the most balanced Jihad. In fact I can't accept the ideology of AQ and Al Shabab from heart because those are creating a plenty of bad impacts on layman muslims and Kuffar. For example, rejecting all the foreign aids reduced the fame of Al Shabab.

I don't know the situation in details but what I can say is that media are extremely biased and only show when churches are bombed or christian attacked, while when the opposite takes place, nothing is shown to us.

We don't really know who started it all, and we can't accuse the Boko Haram of having stated bombing churches out of nothing without any proof; nor can we accuse them of having started something and thus saying it's christians "taking revenge"; it may actually be the opposite. Let's remember that Nothern Nigeria hosted a Khilafah back in the time, and Muslims were once the rulers there, and very strong masha'Allah.
This being said, I'm not sure that churches are a legitimate target so I'm not condoning this, either.

I would love to see the input of Nigerian brothers.

First, I would like to say that Boko Haram isn't even the name of this group; it is something they are called by their enemies, not their supporters (I can't remember what they call themselves). Boko Haram means that 'western education is haram' which is not something that the group even believes in. They believe certain aspects of such education is haram, but not all of it in its entirety. It is just something used as propoganda against them, to try and show them to be backwards.

Secondly, there are many groups claiming to be Boko Haram, including criminal organisations (much like you will find criminal organisations pretending to be Taliban in Afghanistan/Pakistan). These are of course, not in any way supported by the real group.

Thirdly, I don't really know whether these attacks on Churches have been done by Boko Haram or not but I do know that the general target of the group is the government and its supporters (military, police, etc). Which is why leaflets have been distributed by them in certain cities warning residents that such governmental groups will be targeted (and therefore advising anyone who works for the military, etc to resign if they do not wish to be targeted).

And Allah alone knows best

Here is the leaflet I spoke about: http://hotgistshotnews.blogspot.com/...oko-haram.html

It specifically says 'we have no intention of harming the citizens of Kano as long as they do not confront us'. It also says that as well as targeting security officials, they will target the Christian Association of Nigeria. Perhaps they really were behind the bombings on churches (if these churches were somehow affiliated with CAN otherwise, I highly doubt they had done such attacks.
