Salam,

I think Br. Maripat has mistaken Bahadur Shah (I) for Bahadur Shah Zafar (II). Br. Only1God was only referring to the former one, not the latter.

Also, going by the dates given by Br. StoptheHate, confusion just gets cleared up.

Guru Gobind Singh Ji was born 1666
Bahadur Shah was born 1643
Bahadur Shah was king from 1707-1712
Guru Gobind Singh Ji died in 1708 at age 42
for the clarification.
I don't understand why there is so much hate on this message board. We are just trying to carry the burden of history. We hope that we ourselves are not inadvertently contributing to hate production. But we do receive lots of it. There is whole spectrum of people who came here spewed the venom, and thankfully, left.
There were good Mughals and bad Mughals
Good Sikhs and bad Sikhs
Good Muslims and bad Muslims That may or may not be true but even if it is true then does this information take us to the right destination?
There is a strange equalization of obedience and disobedience to God in above statement. A Muslim, Lord Most High willing, will one day end up in Jannah if he manages to save even little bit of faith when he exits this world. So how can a Muslim be bad? This world is a test ground and to reach Jannah is the good result. To reach Jahannum is the bad result. How can man ending up in good result be bad?

It is necessary to look at the things around us in a dispassionate way but it is a dangerous ground to tread on when one tries to adopt an objective attitude about Islam - I am talking about Muslims. In deed it is not easy to be subjective and to discharge the objective duties but one has to accept the responsibility to do that.

If you agree with this then it will be easy to discharge your duties to Sikhs - you have to communicate Islam to them. And this will be an act of love and not of hatred.
You shouldn't judge people by there religion but by there character. You are using the same launching point as earlier - it is a wrong point to launch your argument. It equalizes obedience and disobedience to God.

Character is the best thing a believer will be able to present on the Judgement Day. But when the passport of belief is not present then what is the use of that character?
If you think that everyone from a certain group did everything perfect you are mistaken
Just get along with everybody now and make the world a better place. You left Allah(SWT), beloved Prophet(PBUH), Islam, Qur'an and Sunnah out of the equation.
You did talk with common sense but common sense too needs Islamic training before it can serve you.

Thanks again for the clarification.

You shouldn't judge people by there religion but by there character.
Instead, Allah will judge us according to our religion firstly, and then the degrees that the Muslims will get in Paradise will secondarily depend by their character and so on.
And Allah told us to judge according to religion.

This doesn't mean to be unfair or promote generalization against kuffar; still, the first and foremost division is between mu'minin and kuffar.
Everything else is modernist liberal capitalist rubbish.

Just get along with everybody now and make the world a better place.
A "better place" is the one that Allah commands us to "build", according to the rules He gave us, and with His Din ruling supreme.
