Assalam Alaikum
there was a debate on this page:- http://www.sunniforum.com/forum/show...-for-war/page3 - when one brother by the name of ABU-LAIS started labeling real/fake deobandis. let me clarify the issue first. the debate was about whether to give dawah to british soldiers bound for afghanistan, a good idea or bad idea. there was a clear difference of opinion, and then brother got out of hand, started making wrong assumptions. My point is, whatever opinion i hold about the above matter, how did they assume that we were against TALIBAN and mujahideen of afghanistan - the barve, the courageous, gaurdians of Islamic way on this earth. How did they assume that we dont condemn the evil of kuffar soldiers..... Second point, my stance in the debate was my OPINION, not my AQEEDAH. if i am convinced that my opinion is wrong i would not hold back on changing my opinion to the opinion of HAQ. i would feel no shame to adopt HAQ if i was not already on HAQ. Then how can anybody label me fake deobandi on the opinion i hold (which may well be wrong, and i am ready to accept the truth). This attitude doesnt resmble the attitude of eminent scholars of Deoband, rather the attitude of Baralewi founder who LABELLED everyone kaafir, whoever was not in agreement with him. I was angry and just wanted to express my feelings............ We are the spirtual sons of Ashraf Ali and Hussain Ahmad We are the spirtual sons of Ilyas and Zakariyya We dont claim to be maasom or free of faults We do make dua to Allah that He may give us their good And save us from their errors We hope to be blessed with their company in the Garden Ameen |

But too often (and I've noticed this in various discussions and thread) we take any criticism of our position as a takfir, and thus we get extra-offended, while in reality no takfir was done.. Allah knows best.. |
