Assalaamu alaykum wr wb. I love you for the sake Allah.
The Imam of our Masjid read one hadith yesterday about arguing and it seems so relevant to all of us that I'd like to share it with all of you. "Anas (r.a.) narrates that we were sitting before the door of the prophet (saw) discussing. As some of us took this verse while some other the other verse for his support. The Messenger of Allah in meanwhile came out to us with anger as it seemed that the seed of the pomegranate was squeezed on his face (It was red). He asked: O people! Have you been sent by this or ordered to do so? Do not turn to paganism (kufr) after me, killing each other (as a result of dispute)." (Tabaraani: 389/1) Now, when the beloved uncle of our prophet (saw) Was killed and his killed came to prophet (saw) and explained the killing in detail, our prophet (saw) forgave him without showing anger towards him. And when Rasuulullah (saw) was asked to curse the mushrikiin, he replied: I was not sent to curse. Instead I'm sent as a mercry (Muslim) Or when his people beat him and threw stones at him, he asked for forgiveness for them! There are more examples than I can write down here (I'm in a hurry). The point is: Our Prophet (saw) did not get angry when people mistreated him or his loved ones and he did not show his anger at those occasions. However, when he found out that some of his companions (ra) were arguing with each other, he got so angry that his face got red from anger. Summa summarum. How do we expect to deserve the love of Allah and his rasool (saw) when are making this much arguments and troubles and curses, even takfir (!!!) to our brothers and sister?!? Please forgive me. I'm inshallah not able to continue posting comments here for a while and if anone disagrees with me, I'm not going to respond at all for obvious reasons. Assalaamu alaykum wr wb. |
