As-salâmu 'alaykum wa rahmatullâhi wa barakâtuhu,

With the massacre going on in Syria I have heard a few people talking about Qunūt’l-Nāzilah.
I don't know much about this, can someone shed any light and what the hanafi madhab says about this etc?
Can you perform it alone? what do you read? how do you read it ?
Any info is welcomed.
