A person once complained to a shaykh that he was not blessed with seeing the prophet sallahuwasalam in his dream. The reply was as follows;
Na ba zori na ba zari na ba zar mi ayad-Khod bakhod aun shah ushaq nazar me ayad He (i.e. the prophet sallahualiwasalam), does not come,neither by money,nor flattery,nor can some one force him,that beloved of lovers comes only when he wants. I had ziarat the first time,that was the most unlikely place and time. I was in Dublin pretty busy in exams and not even doing my routine durood. One night I was blessed and the prophet sallahuwaslaam came and kissed this Ajez, dirty servant on the face. |

Na ba zori na ba zari na ba zar mi ayad-Khod bakhod aun shah ushaq nazar me ayad Hokar fana Huzoor mein apney ko deykna, Kuch is tarah bhi hoti hai ziyarat Rasool ki. (I will translate the meaning of this poem and not literal definition or else I might hear the salawaat again) "To become totally engrossed in and completely practice the sunnah and then look at yourself and your actions is one way to see the vision of Rasoolullah salallahu alayhi wa sallam." |
