Default Have i made a HUGE mistake?
Salaam,
Well... im feeling scared and worried, i dont know if i have commited a sin or nit but i know that i did it unknowingly and i knew that it was a sin.
Basically, i went on to google images and typed in something like powerful islamic image (i wanted to upload something positive to facebook), and then i came across a cartoon, i couldnt read it properly and it was of two cartoon men discussing something, i read thinking it was one of those cartoons with a positive joke but it was a cartoon drawing of Muhammed (Peace be upon him) ASTAGH'FIRULLAH when i read muhammed i quickly shut the screen and closed it.
Is this still a sin, will i get punished i never did it intentionally and if i knew it was the prophet (PBUH) i would have closed it...

No, don't worry, you didn't commit any sin. It's very good that you feel this way however; it's a sign of taqwa. You can still do some istighfar to negate any spiritual harm that cartoon might have caused you.

Insha'Allah you did not commit sin brother, but that is the danger of using the internet and especially 'tools' such as google images/youtube etc. You can unintentionally come across things which you would dare not look at on purpose. So one must always be ultra-careful when using these type of websites and if in doubt, choose not to look at an image/video rather than try to figure out what it is by clicking on it. But, we are all weak and it happens with all of us in this day and age. May Allah forgive us all, Ameen.

The Prophet said anytime one commits a sin to always counter it with a good deed. He has also said that saying "La iLLaha iLLAllah" is the best compensation for sins, so we should all recite "La ILLaha iLLAllah" abundantly throughout the day as we commit so many sins knowingly and unknowingly.

Also, Rasool-Allah has said that whoever recites "La ILLaha iLLAllah" 100 times daily, their face will glow like a full moon on the day of judgement. The only person whose face will be glowing more than this person's will be the one who used to recite this kalima more than the one who used to recite it 100 times daily. Subhan'Allah!

May Allah forgive me for my mistakes in this post and may He forgive all of us for our sins. Ameen.

Salam 'Aleykum,

Not a sin my brother not a sin, all that is un-intentional is forgiven by his blessings insha-Allah. If you feel that you have wronged the Prophet may the peace of Allah be upon him then make up for it by following his way, he will intercede for all believers.
