As-Salam Walaikum Brothers,

I have this question asked by one of my friends, is it Haram in Islam to trim your chest hair.

As of now from my elders I have known that there are part of the body where Men can remove hair.

1. Armpit
2. Moustache
3. Pubic hair

and the parts of the body that is prohibited or haram.

1. Plucking nose hair
2. Eyebrow

So tell me brothers if Islam prohibits the cutting or trimming of chest hair. Please give references from Quran or Hadith.

Also, though I could be completely wrong, I've never heard of plucking nose hair to be haram.

Thanks for the post. so the in the event if some one trimmed the hair on his chest that would not be considered Haram as there no mention of it in Quran or Hadith

It is permissible to remove the hair of the chest, back, legs, etc.
