Although the video is fake :
It's obvious FaceBook has the power to share every single details of each account to whosoever it wants.
Even non facebook-related companies have started to gather information that is freely available on each account.

I would just like to put out a warning to brothers that the female reporter is not exactly wearing "modest" clothing. I know we see these things in the west every day, but brothers who are much better than we are may not be used to seeing this.

i personally don't think the principle of holding information like this is bad at all as it makes a huge difference in time and resources in situations like crimes etc.

HOWEVER, it's in the wrong hands and that makes it liable to abuse and it IS being abused.

like all commodities in life; wealth, power etc.

from the article...
The FBI says the information would be used to help it to predict the likely actions of "bad actors", detect instances of people deliberately misleading law enforcement officers and spot the vulnerabilities of suspect groups. sounds a bit like...

thoughtcrime... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thoughtcrime

In the dystopian novel Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell, a thoughtcrime is an illegal type of thought. In the book, the government attempts to control not only the speech and actions, but also the thoughts of its subjects, labelling disapproved thought as thoughtcrime or, in Newspeak, "crimethink".[1] In the book, Winston Smith, the main character, writes in his diary: "Thoughtcrime does not entail death: thoughtcrime is death."
