i have problem in my pc,it is restarting every time,i have 1 very important file in desktop.so what should i do?if i format pc,how can i will get that file?

Hazrat.

Do not format the pc. There are some ways to retrive the file.

1. Try to start in safe mode.
2. Try to start the pc using a linux boot cd.
3. Remove the hard disk and attach it to another pc and access the file.

Lets try the first method.

Hazrat do you know how to start the pc in safe mode?

When the pc boots (ie starts) keep on pressing F12 (or F8 in some computers) continously. Then a black screen with many options come up. Select boot in safe mode. It might work.

P.s. Start pressing F12 repeatedly as soon as you press the on button.

i did it but failed to start.
I also entered xp cd and repair xp but failed.
Actually i m writing bayanat of shaikh hanif sb and unforunatily i saved file to desktop and if i will fail to fet it,my todays all writings will be lost.
Oh allah plz help me

if it's the harddisk mechanically failure, it'll be hard and costly to retrieve the file. Otherwise, apart from what brother amr123 has suggested, is there any local technician who knows Linux? He then can boot your pc using a Linux boot disk, and then your harddisk can be mounted manually and the file can be copied to a usb drive.

Hazrat do you have another computer in which you can download and burn a 'linux live cd'. ?

1. Click on the following link and download the .iso file around 11Mb : http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/...re-current.iso
2. Burn the .iso file into a cd using a software like 'Nero' etc.
3. Put the cd on the Pc with the problem.
4. Start the Pc.
steps to boot from cd:
a. Access the bios by pressing F8 continously while starting the pc
b. Set the Cd drive as 1st in the 'order of boot disk'
c. Restart Pc with the cd in the cd drive5. The Pc will load from the Live cd called tiny linux
6. Copy the file from the desktop to a usb drive.

Remove and clean it.
..Do with carefulness or replace it.
