![]() ![]() Can any knowledgeable brother or sister verify that there are no haram ingredients in some of these nutrition drinks sold on the market, such as Boost, Ensure, Nutrament, etc. Is there one which is more "preferred" by Muslims due to ingredients than the other? The list of ingredients on the bottle is very long and, naturally, contains items which I can't even pronounce, so I thought I would ask. ![]() ![]() |

![]() I'm presently in recovery for eating disorders ma sha Allah and I have to drink the Fortisip Multi-Fibre drinks. When I was prescribed them, I looked into it by contacting my local mosque (- if you're talking about the long list of mineral ingredients, they're derived from natural sources and not animals, which is good Islamically and for someone like me who is vegetarian) and I know for certain that there's not one haraam ingredient in any of the Ensures or Fortisips! I'm sorry, I don't know about Colagen or Complan, or any of the other cheaper alternatives - I'm guessing they're more likely to contain ingredients from cheaper sources (possibly haraam). ![]() |
