I wanted to know the viewpoints of the knowledgeable here on Habib Kadhim al-Saqqaff.I like some of his lectures very much.But I have read that he is affliated in some kind of way with Shaykh Haqqani,whom I do not have a high regard for.

yes he is a great alim and he is sufi and a man of tasawuf but if that is where your heart finds peace then so be it.

Yes, Habib Kadhim went and visited Mawlana Shaikh Nazim, gave him gifts, and attended his hadra. Shaikh Muhammad Yaqubi, Habib Ali al-Jifri, Shaikh Babikr Ahmad Babikr, and various other ulama have praised and are affliated with Mawlana Shaikh Nazim. Only salafis and some deobandis seem to have some low opinion of Mawlana Shaikh Nazim, as they have some problem with Shaikh Hamza Yusuf, the Habaaib, Shaikh Nuh Ha Mim Keller, Shaikh Muhammad Alawi al-Maliki, and many others.

Have you ever met Mawlana Shaikh to have a problem with him? Have you asked him about something that he did that made you worried?
I guess some of the Muslims that don't know about his serious problems include Habib Kadhim, Habib Ali, Shaikh Muhammad Yaqubi, Shaikh Babikr, etc, who have all praised him, requested ijaza from him, etc. If Mawlana Shaikh Nazim is questionable and has serious problems, then I guess these ulama are also questionable for:
a)praising him when he has serious problems
b)requesting ijaza from him when they don't know that he has serious problems
c)not warning the lay muslims to stay away from him

a shaik from tassawuff is judged by how much he follows shariah/sunnah..........shaik nazim countless vidoes of him looking directly at non mahram women...... he is not pious enough to look at non mahrams sorry shariah dont allow that he does it openly

HABIB ALI - As regards to Shaykh Nazim Haqqani (may allah preserve him) he is from the Scholars , hes from the hanafi jurists, ahlu tassawuf naqsbandiya , indeed over 10,000 people have became muslim by his hands In Europe and in the west.He is 90 years of age, I visited him for goodness, I took ijaza from him in any riwaya he has in terms of fiqh and hadith also in ijaza in dhikr. Some people argue that he allows non muslims in his gatherings who do dhikr and dance but he actually teaches them and gives them good advice after the gathering to bring to islam.

I agree yes, Habib 'Ali took bayyah for blessings, as he respects and loves Mawlana Shaikh Nazim. He also took ijaza from him. Habib Ali al-Jifri would not do this if he felt that Shaikh Nazim was dubious or misguided, nor would Habib Kadhim partake in the hadra in the zawiya. Shaikh Nazim is held in high esteem by the habaaib and rightfully so. The Habaaib are amazing ulama and awliya and anyone that has a chance to meet with them should do so.
