AWW, 1) according to Sunni Islam if this is the sect he chooses to follow, that we are only obligated to believe in mutawatir Hadith. One is not required to believe in ahad Hadith... If one does not believe in an ahad Hadith it doesn't take one out of Islam. 2) if it's a mutawatir Hadith that he has a problem with... Tell him... One should seek out how the ulama understood the Hadith... Many times you'll come across an explanation that may suit him, eventhough major of Sunni don't adhere to it. Like for example... Was it ishmael or isacc who was to scraficed. Although most Sunni Muslim today believe it was Ishmael, I prefer the opinion of Ali, which is that it was Isaac. Was iblis a jinn or angel??? I prefer the opinion of ibn Abbas tha ibis was an angel.... Is Allah's a unique name or is it derived from ilah... Majority of Sunni Muslim believe the later while I prefer that it is derived from ilah... There are many valid opinions or understanding of a Hadith or ayat which may soot him.... This is the beauty of Islam... And Allah knows best. |
