. Why do you guys always drag it back to the taqleed/ijtihad issue which is such a small issue as long as the oppinion you hold is an oppinion of the salaf.

it is not a small issue. the ramifications for denying wajibiyat of taqlid of one school is a very serious matter. why dyu think so many famous ghair muqallids are known to have either become rafidhi or non-practising?do you think there is no consequence for disrespect of the salaf and the ulema of both present and yesteryear?
and not to mention the opening of doors of many fitnah that ghair muqallidayat brings to the fore. when you think ulema and their findings can be just rejected then what society do you think will evolve out of this?no. the salafis do not respect their elders. read any salafi books and how easily they can 'debunk' fatwas of great scholars. the salafi ussol e fiqh of 'sahih ahadith only' has given shariah into the hands of laymen to play with.

it is also because of this difference in usool e fiqh did the salafis developed their own aqeedah: literalism. you may not suffer from it, but some of their community def does.
