Sorry for my ignorance. I know that Allah (swt) is able to do anything but my question is can he also help a person to find a job/employement in this world etc? I know that one must not sit back and must strive to find a jo which I am doing but can he open the doors in this world in that regard?

Yes, most definitely. You can ask Allah for anything, but whether he fulfills your du'a is upto Him. Make du'a and Allah will make your job search easier, .

Allah is the creator and he is the owner of each and every thing. Allah will give you everything that is permitted within this world and he will not just open the doors in this world but also after life as well. You should blindly believe Allah that he is capable to do anything and he has the power to give or remove. Please read Qur'an

I remember reading a hadith, something like this:

One day Ali (ra) was walking with Rasulullah (saw) when the strap of his sandal broke. Rasulullah (saw) said, "O Ali, make dua for that."

Ali said, "Make du'a even for just a broken strap?"

"Yes, make du'a even for a broken strap."


So one can make du'a for anything, really.
