Assalamu Alaykum,

Can the brothers or sisters recommend an intellectually stimulating yet spiritually uplifting Islamic book in English that one can read every night, for 15 minutes or so, before going to bed?

Author must be from Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jam'ah/Deobandi.

1. Hayratt angez waaqiyaat by Shaykh Thanvi ra, very interesting. Or even 'Islaahi Nisaab' by him again, but its high funda. It even contains Qasd us Sabeel (very probably), the book that was discussed on SF some time back.

You should try kitaabun, islamicbookstore etc, I don't know if there's an english translation, ask bro's Sulaiman84, Fusus, Saad, or others...

I haven't read that completely yet, its like 800 pages. Also, I'm personally waiting for others to contribute to this thread.
