The Hanafis say that the males should place their right hand over the left and place them below the navel and the females should put their hands on the chest. (edit: for males is that below the belly button? Has any brother paste image of it

Slm,

How can a female's chest be below her belly button? Your question is confusing. It is not just the relied upon opinion of the ahnaaf for the male to place hands below the belly button but also of the Hanbaliya. Are you asking about the male/female here?

Slm,

Below the navel for females also if that is the opinion followed. The other opinion is above the navel (for both sexes) as there is 2 opinions in the madhaab and both are deemed correct.

Slm,

There is much less differentiation in salaah between sexes in Hanbaliya than may be in other madhaabs. I have not seen the hands below navel or above it for Hanbali females either due to me being a male (obvious.) I am only stating the 2 positions of the school. There are no Hanbali females in my family, they are all Shafee or ahnaaf and pray with hands above the navel/chest area. It was Imaam Ahmad (RAH) position that the hands should be above the navel (not on the chest!) and later scholars went with the Hadith of Ali (RA) stating that it was the practice of the Nabi (SAW) to keep the hands below the navel.

Slm,

As far as I know, yes below the navel is the widely accepted/majority view of ahnaaf.

Namaz is one of the most important pillars of Islam. Namaz can create a distinguish between Muslim and Non-Muslim. We pray namaz five times a day; it means we get opportunity to meet with God 5 time a day. It’s a great honor for every individual.
