how much sleep do adult Muslims require (a night)?
03, 05 or 07 hours?

Hazrat Jalalabadi Moulana Masihullah Khan Sherwani (ra) has recommended that in these times since the body has become weak, one should not make a habit of sleeping less than 6 hours per 24 hours.

depends on a person and what a shaykh recommends. For some people it is 8 hours, others 6, 5, 4 or 3. I have heard different things from different shaykhs. The general advice would be to go sleep early and not too late after isha and then wake up for tahajud. This would be the general advice but varies.
