There is site called The Edge. Every year it invites the most prominent western thinkers to give their views on some cutting edge, according to their own view, topic. This years topic is:

2012 : WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE DEEP, ELEGANT, OR BEAUTIFUL EXPLANATION?
A lot of famous western thinkers have given their views on it. In fact the list is quite long and very diverse. It is nice collection of modern western thought collected at a single place. It will be nice if brothers and sisters present their take on the topics of their interests.
