Assalamu Alaykum,

Is there a way of knowing if one's ibadah is being accepted and if one is gaining proximity to Allah, i.e. are there any telltale signs one can look to in order to re-assure oneself?

Heard from ahlullah that a sign of acceptance is to be helped to do good deeds one after the other, whereas the sign of rejection is to do misdeeds after the good deeds.
