yes there should be change, and yes imran khan does seem to be a reliable candidate. but, khilafah? i dont think so. the political 'heavyweights' who've joined him have a shady past themselves. i personally have a wait and watch approach. outside the system its easy to make tall promises.

Imran Khan is not dumb enough to hold segregated rallies without music. The last thing Pakistan need is another Zia-ul-Haq in the making.

Imran Khan wants to make Pakistan an Islamic welfare state. He believes in the Shariah, not the Taliban's version, but Allama Iqbal's version of it in the modern context. Also he believes in capital punishment for those involved in massive corruption or henious crimes or fasad.

thats what politics is. u've got to make 'sacrifices' for 'gains'.

i always wanted to say this, although its not the appropriate thread but still:
democracy can be summarised by the urdu saying 'Jiss ki lathi, uss ki bhens'(whoever has the stick, owns the cow). Stick = votes, cow = country
its all about quantity not quality. i get 5 votes,u get 7, u win. analyse further & it is found, people who voted for me were 'intellectuals'(religious/non-religious), but u'rs were some farmers in a far away village who all their lives havent set foot outside.
I have quality, but u have quantity, therefore u win.
its all about trial & error, if u vote for a wrong individual, wait for 5 yrs, then vote for someone else to 'try' him out. or try to bring about a revolution which will itself be disastrous.

He hasn't "switched" his stance on Altaf Hussain, his party holds only 18 seats in the National assembly. He merely turned his guns towards the two biggest parties PPP and PMLN that have run the country for the past 40 years and plundered the resources and wealth and brought the country to where it is today.

Both the Bhutto's and Sharif family's have to be exposed and eliminated politically to save the country.

Simple logic, you have to catch the big fish first spoiling the pond, smaller fish will be easier catch n they dont do much damage anyways.

Well yes , you can keep suporting the people who turn sides every day. One day the guy is talking about shariah law , sacond day he talks about democratic system is the best.
One day he's talking bad about ulema , second day he go"s begging to the ulema to suport his rally's. I can see how you and your favourite both are extremly .........

He' hasn't talked against the ulema per se, he was infact inspired to learn about Islam by a Sufi shaykh, he only spoke against Maulana Fazlur Rehman, who is part of the government and the status quo in the country. And Fazlur Rehman is a politician like others, there are many allegations of corruption against him. He's famously known for the "diesel" scandal for years.
