When I read the Milestones by Syed Qutub it left me stunned for long. Many years later a Scholar, when asked about the writings of Syed Qutub, said that beginners should not read them. I agree whole heartedly.

PS: Strangely enough I had read the Milestones after reading an extremely well argued anti-Islamic narration called Islamic Fundamentalism by Youssef M. Choueiri. Thankfully the latter is not that well known - sort of curse of Allah when a Muslim indulges in activities against his creator.
