Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah,
Many of you might have noted that Shaykh Yusuf Mullan recently "unleashed" a great offer as follows: > $797 for access to the first 50 hours of materials (covering the first 6 months) + access to the recordings of all Hidayah an-nahw lessons (essentially covering the second 6 months) Alhamdulillah I signed up for this offer and can't be happier. My questions were about the 2nd year, which I intend to start once the semester re-opens. > How many hours of live lessons do you have to attend per week? > What is the format of the live lessons? Is it simply the Shaykh teaching? Or are there opportunities for interaction? > Are the lessons recorded and can you get access to them later on if you want revise a certain mas'alah? > When do the live lessons take place? Weekends? If you can answer the questions, I promise to make plenty of dua for you! Jazak Allah Khair |

Assalamu Alaikum
I am interested in starting this program, I know its been discussed many times on this forum. Can anyone explain how the program works, or provide any links. Is the offere mentioned in the OP still available? What times are the live sessions. Do you have to take part in the live sessions or can you make use of recorded sessions? Jazak Allah |

Have you finished the first year yet? If not, you are getting way ahead of yourself. The first year is the most challenging.
Please verify the answers. -Live sessions are more than the first year. But, there is no verb recitation. -Don't know. -The lessons are recorded. -Live sessions take place in the weekend. Do you know when he is going to open the life-time program again? |

Salaam!
If I am honest, I probably started the program a bit late in my "Arabic learning career". Alhamdulillah, I have already covered (independently) most of the 1st year sarf/nahw rules + did Qasas un Nabiyeen (all 4 volumes). At the moment, I am going through Sirah Khatim An-Nabiyeen. Nonetheless, I will still go through the 1st year videos to ensure that my understanding is sound. Mufti Yusuf has a quality way of teaching mashaAllah. That's why I was interested in the 2nd year classes. Jazak Allah Khair for the answers! I don't know when he will open it again. Probably beginning of 2013? |

Email him, he'll get back to you.
There used to be lots of useful written information on the website but recently these have been replaced by what can only be described as 'sales' videos. I can't say I'm the biggest fan of the money focussed, marketing direction SP have recently taken. Nearly a thousand dollars for recorded lessons? Allah knows best... |

Mashallah. You sound like an advanced student. In fact, if I am honest, I find understanding the Quran and Hadith MUCH easier than some of the passages in the Nadwi books. Of course, I am talking about the dhahir meanings here. I still can't appreciate the finer intricacies of ayaat e.g. the balaagha aspects. But that is my ultimate goal inshaAllah. Have you finished the SP program already? Br. Faisal - The sections were replaced by the sales videos because the Shaykh was promoting his latest offer. I am sure that the sections will return back to normal soon. I haven't been with SP before so I can't tell if the turn in marketing strategy is for the better or worse. But by Allah, after having a quick look around as to what I purchased, I can say that every dollar spent will be worth it. You are getting 1 year's worth of materials (including the classes on Hidayah An-Nahw) for about $800! This can set one's Arabic career up for life! |

All success is from Allah. Alhamdulillah, I can understand a lot of Quran now. I would be bold enough to say about 60-75%. ![]() Mashallah. How long did it take you to finish up to Hidayatun Nahw - the first year of the program? I finished up to week 17. I finished all of sarf and Qasas 1. My studies were progressing slowly but steadily alhamdulillah but then I became busy with the dunya ![]() I really want to finish at least up to Hidayatun Nahw with the Mufti. |
