Default Poor Somali students give back to aide needy Muslims in Turkey
Somali students have volunteered to help every day with an aid project conducted by Turkish aid organization Kimse Yok Mu (Is Anyone There), which distributes hot meals every day to families in need of assistance in Malatya province.

Coming to Turkey for schooling because of the Somali famine, 12 Somali students who were once in need of assistance and food took part in the distribution of hot meals to 500 poor families as a part of project titled “Bana da Bir Kap Sıcak Yemek Verecek Kimse Yok Mu” (Is There Anyone Who Can Give Me a Hot Meal), launched by Kimse Yok Mu six months ago.

Speaking to the Cihan news agency, Kimse Yok Mu branch president Muhammet Nami Güzeler said social solidarity is one of the basic duties of a society, which is why they are conducting this project for families in need.

Regarding the Somali students who are helping them with the project, Güzeler said the attitudes of the teenagers, who were struggling with famine in Somalia about three months ago, are very sensitive and thoughtful toward this project.

One of the Somali students, Abdulnasr İmran, said they are very happy to be participating in an aid project in Turkey. He added that they become even happier when they see the smiles on the faces of the people who have received the hot meals.

Selma Çoşkun, one of the people who received aid, said it is very meaningful that Somalis who were in need not long ago are now delivering food themselves. Regarding the efforts of Kimse Yok Mu, Çoşkun said that are very significant, and she thanked the association and students.

The 12 Somali students are attending the private Rahime Batu Anatolian and Science High School in Malatya.

http://www.todayszaman.com/news-2672...n-malatya.html Subhanallah! This is the true face of zakat, of duty, of love, this is the face of Islam. Despite facing the toughest of all earthly tests, these young volunteers did not lose iman, they held on and demonstrated their obedience to Islam and their duty to the Ummah. After all the hardship, all it took to make these youths happy was to see the easing of a troubled Muslim soul.

May Allah help ease the suffering of Muslims and open doors for the Ummah to find its way to them.
