The best print of Tafsir ibn Kathir is the 15 volume, Maktabah Awlad as-Shaikh/ Alam Al-Kutub(riyadh) edition.

It is quite costly.

They have 2 versions, both published by Dar al Kutub Beirut

1. 4 volume abridged version for 300 rands
2. 9 volume for 575 rands

i bought Tafseer ibn Kathir from Jamia Ashrafia lahore paksitan

it was 100 percent same as that of Darrussalam

rather i felt that that of jamia ashrafia was psuedo salfi than that of Darrusalam

that was translated by Deobandi scholer ....

in that

Ahle Hadith 's Fazeelat:
Some salaf says that there is fazeelah for Ahle Hadiths becose their Imam is no one other than Muhamamd SAW
