![]() Mufti Abdullah Nana speaks on the importance of halal food here in America and a new initiative that is underway to ensure 100% halal meat and food products. I cannot stress enough the importance of this effort so PLEASE make time to watch this as being aware is the least we can do. Issues such as is zabihah.com really zabihah? And do those stamps of 'halal' really mean anything? are addressed. ![]() ![]() ![]() http://seekersguidance.org/blog/2011...abdullah-nana/ This is their website: http://halaladvocates.org/ Please spread the word, ![]() ![]() |

![]() ![]() I'm so glad some real qualified people are finally addressing this issue. So sad that most Muslims don't even care about this. I'll do everything I can to support this effort, inshallah. I remember a couple of years ago I was thinking that I should start something like this, after I got my studies done. But this is excellent news. |

![]() Funny thing is, halal certifying agencies, like IFANCA, get really angered when the ulama get involved. For example, IFANCA still certifies al-Safa as halal even though Mufti Abdullah Nana had found that al-Safa had switched to machine slaughter early this year. IFANCA, instead of revisiting its certification policy, attacked those who found out it was machine slaughter. This was extremely dishonest of IFANCA and I cannot trust them with anything anymore. |

Assalam O Alaikum
Al-Safa is now owned by a Muslim Pakistani Company but to save money they are providing machine slaughetred chicken and also described how they machine slaughtered their chicken on their website. On the other hand in same town Toronto 8 Muslim owners of Popye Chicken are fighting corporate Popye Company in court to keep hand slaughtering for their francise. See the difference of Taqwa between these two groups of Muslims. The Muslim owners said that the main reason of their sucess is "HAND SLAUGHTERING" which majority of Toronto Muslims want it. Zabiha Halal certification is a very tough business and it is a trust business. There are many Allah fearing and honest Zabiha Halal certifiers and there are also crooks. MCG is not in Zabiha Halal certification because it requires a lot of work to make sure Muslim consumers are getting real zabiha meat. MCG is in non meat Halal certification business but we do not Halal certify anything if it contains alcohol. |

JAZAKALLAH KHAIRAN KATSEERAN!!!
I am not from the States, but this jihaad to provide Halal Tayyib food is being waged everywhere. USA, UK, S Africa, Singapore etc... May Allah ta'aala grant us ability to practice his complete Deen (and Halal food is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT component of Islam) and expose and destroy the evil plots of the hypocrites who try to "Halaalize" kuffaar slaughtering techniques. Ameen. |

Assalam O Alaikum Brother FususAlHikam,
Thanks for your dua and very kind words. I am very worried about attending any wedding, Haqiqa or Walima now a days in Chicago because catering suppliers are buying meat specillay chicken from Restaurant Depot. I got a call from a brother around MSI to do someting because a famous catering suppliers is buying chicken from Restaurant Depot. I told brother of the catering suppliers not buy chicken from Restaurant Depot. One sister told me how to avoid going to her friend house when she knew that the family buy meat from Restuarant Depot in Lombard, IL. The Restuarnt Depot carries only machine slaughtered chicken with a Halal certificate. I am not aware of Halaladvocate certified restuarant but I know Sabri Nihari in Lombard has a certificate from Sharia board. I pray to Allah to give toufiq to those catering brothers in Chicago. |
