Hadhrats Janazah is likely to take place at Darul Uloom Karachi tomorrow morning (not confirmed). Many Ulama have left for Karachi to attend the janazah.

It is strange feeling. The probability of having a ziarat (meeting) of him for yours truly was not very high but it sort of creates a feeling of something having broken away from you. May Allah(SWT) elevate his stature.

اعظم الله اجرك

Still very few individuals exist that have seen and are murid of Hakeem ul Ummat rehmatullah aleh. Hadhrat Dr Tanvir Ahmad sahib db from Hyderabad Sindh is one of them.

Bismillahir rahmanir Rahim.

Assalaamu 'Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu,

Inna lillahi wa Inna ilaihi raji'un.

Subhanallah! He was lucky to be a murid of marhoom Hakimul Ummat Hazrat Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanavi (Rahmatullahi 'alaihi).

May Allah, Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, elavate his status and grant him Jannatul Firdaus (Aameen).

If there is any details of his death, it would be good to post.

Our 'Ulama are leaving us poor ones behind. Not poor of wealth maybe, but poor of 'ilm of Deen and good amaals.

Jazakumullah khairan wassalaamu'alaikum.

Its surely a great loss!

I got the opportunity to attend his Janazah, Alhamdulillah.

It was lead by Mufti Rafee' Usmani d.b. The janazah was attended by many. Son of our Shaikh, Hazrat Hakeem Mazhar Sahib d.b also attended it. Hazrat Nawab sahib was thereafter burreid at Darul Uloom's graveyard.

Hazrat Nawab Sahib had a close bondage with our Hazrat Hakeem Muhammad Akhtar Sahib d.b. as well. Shaikh Nabeel Sahib had quoted on the Introduction page of his blog:

Nawab Qaisar Sahib (DB) who is a living mureed of Hazrat Hakeem-ul-Ummah (RA) and khalifah of Dr. Abdul Hayy Sahib (RA) attests to this fact that whenever he comes to Hazrat Maulana Hakim Akhtar Sahib’s Khanqah in Karachi, he feels the spiritual atmosphere and aura of the Khanqah of Thanabhawan and is compelled to exclaim:

“Hay Karachi may bhi ek Thanabhawan.”

In Karachi there is a Thanwabhawan.” I had really wished to visit him, but alas!

May Allah grant him Jannah and enable us to walk on the footsteps of our elders. May Allah also give Barakah in the lives of the existing elders, and enable us to benefit from them. Ameen
