How come 786 can be related to bismillahir rahmanir rahim? Can anybody explain it in detail?

I believe it is a bid'ah. There is no association between numbers and Bismi-Allah-Arrahman-Arraheem:

In some communities where it is used, it's almost a necessity - nobody stops to question what it is or why it is there.
If a car's numberplate has 786 at the end of it, you can be sure it belongs to someone who's Muslim and attaches importance to it.
