salam....hi all.. i just have a question about showing/impressing other people but not in a religious way, but i want to cure something about me, i have this problem that i always want to impress other people not in like show how religious i am, but how i can say something funny, smart in this way,, I really want to overcome this IA.. hmm i think because i want be accepted by them and i want like personal recognition like im a "cool" guy ...please anyone help me overcome this

just be yourself, if your naturally funny i don't think there is anything wrong in that unless jokes are made up of lies or something offensive or crude

you don't want to joke so much that people think you are a clown and nobody takes you seriously

secondly, i would say that if you want people to love you then read through the seerah of rasoolAllah see the way in which he behaved with people, the way he joked, the way he gave attention to everyone and implement these characteristics within yourself, but make your intention that you want to follow the sunnah not that you just want to impress people. The more you imitate rasoolAllah the more people will be inclined to you and love you inshaAllah
