I require some info about Sheikh Khaleel, a pakistani Qari living in madina who is the teacher of Sheikh Ayub and a few others who lead salah in the haramain and other prominent masjids in Makkah and Madina, Both his sons are also Qaris and they lead salah in Masjid Quba and Masjid Qiblahtain....I would like to know whether he has any affiliation with any deobandi group whatsoever and if someone knows his background or biography then that will be helpful too.

I don't know too much about him, but he was an ustadh of several prominent Imams and Qurra' and has been there for quite a while

He was allotted a large plot of land by Gen zia ul haq in islamabad to establish a Quran academy, the maulvi saab of my masjid is interested in working with him as he also runs a Hifz institute..So the Qari saab arranged a meeting with Sheikh Khalil at the institute and for some odd reason invited me and my uncle along with some friends...His Qirat is beautiful, he led us in Maghrib, The meeting was a learning experience in many ways. Qari Khaleel is really passionate in teaching students the best ways of reciting the Quran. I have some questions though which I have to get answers to from learned people. One of them (any connection with Deoband) is included in the OP.
