Default Reccommended books about Adab Manners and Akhlaq
Assalamu Alaikum,

I'm looking for books on Akhlaaqiyat.

I'm currently reading Adab al-mufrad, Enjoy your life, hayatus sahaba, fazail e amaal, ISLAMIC MANNERS by Shaykh Abdul-Fattaah Abu Ghuddah, Don't be sad.

What books have you been reading that have benefitted you? I would like to read every book on akhlaaq, insha'Allah.

Do you know of any books especially on "How to Speak" or "How to choose your words" because I'm really bad at communications skills.

You can always say things in a positive manner, but I always end up saying it in a negative manner, and end up hurting the other person. I regret it so much, so if there are any tips and some really good books, please recommend.

Jazakallah Khair.

You might want to skip to the section in the ISLAMIC MANNERS book about conversation. I think it mentions somethings that might be useful to you.

Also, sister, if you fear saying something in a negative manner, is it possible that you not say anything at all or is that not possible because the person is asking you for an opinion?

Mawlana Thanawi's Aadaab al-Mu'asharah is also available online (the English translation at least).

Exactly. That's the book which helped me to change my lifestyle. Even I started eating two times a day to weaken my Nafs and consequently I became very weak (physically!). My senior brothers forced me to change that habit.

Mashallah, I have that book, and I have been wanting to read for a few months now.

Jazakallah, you have now given me the motivation to start reading it right away. May Allah bless all of you for sharing your knowledge with me so generously. Ameen.

I would recommend reading this along with the lectures of Mufti Muhammad ibn al-Adam here: http://muftimuhammadibnadamislamicma...0/06/contents/

Oh snap, yes fadha'ilus sadaqat is a great islahi book.

Another one with a different flavor is seeratun nabi-akhlaq and adab (I think that's the right name) by Allallaamah Shibli nu'mani and one nadwi Aalim rahmatullahi 'alaihimaa.
