Deoband has two sets within them: those who are connected with the Salafiyyah of Lucknow, which is Salafiyyah and has the sixteen masa’il of Salafiyyah with few distinctions.

Then there are those of Deoband who may have some of the masa’il and do not know that they have borrowed them.
1. What's wrong with Taqwiyyat ul-Imaan, in the view of (Shaikh?) Abu Ja`far?

2. What are the 16 masa'il of Salafiyyah?

I see a lot of deceit in the words of some people, it is almost like chinese whispers.

Lets get some facts straight. He never said anywhere that all of the Deobandis are Salafis, infact if you read the post properly, he refuses to blanket takfeer Deobandis.

Secondly, hes bayah to Yusuf Motala, the same Shaykh as Riyaad ul-Haqq, are they not counted as Deobandis?

The Deobandis he refers to as Salafis are those upon the creed of Taqwiyat ul-Imaan

Not all deobandis agree with the creed in this book

Thirdly he agress that the creed of the Qadyanis is complete kufr but refuses to make a blanket takfeer.

Either people are not reading the information given correctly, or have a personal vandetta and wish to put Shaytaan between our brothers in Islam
As-salamu 'alaykum,

Thank you

Its really absurd sometimes to see how the people run towards unreliable people like Abu Jafar and GF Hadad etc just in their enmity of the Salafis. As if after 1100 years of Hanbali Madhab , they are going to dig the ' real Hanabila' out.

Every single Deobandi agrees with this book. Not a single Deobandi scholar will call it a "deviant" book. The Shaykh of Ml. Yusuf Motala Mawlana Zakariyya ORDERED to translate this book into Arabic because of the great benefits in the book!

So perhaps Abu Jafar is bay'a to a Salafi shaykh.

Also, not declaring takfeer of the Lahori movement is a major blunder of his.

Can you confirm this? Or is this all so a case of Chinese whispers?? Abu Jafar himselfs says he does not have any bayah with any deobandi sheikh? Am sure he says this in the article at question.
